Nudes. The colours of 2018. From influences from Kim K + Kanye, nudes have infiltrated fashion brands alike. From Missguided to Primark, nudes have taken form not only in fashion but in makeup territory. Kim K released her nude inspired makeup range so like any good high street brand Primark have imitated the products near enough to the line of being a complete doppelganger of the original product.
Primark my hunting ground for bargains- has answered my poor ass prayers by releasing their own Nude range so they can give me that Kim K look on a budget.
I managed to get my hands on two of the nude lipsticks which were only £1.50 each...a bargain at its finest.
I picked up the shades-
'Uncovered'
'In the Buff'

(Please excuse my paleness- I am waiting for summer which is questionable in Britain)
For £1.50 I honestly cannot complain about these lipsticks- the formula is matte which usually after a while of wearing makes my lips look a little dry which is not a good look for anyone- and please with this Winter weather my lip balm is constantly on speed dial. However, when applied the formulas are quite pigmented which does not need re-application that often- I can say this more confidently for the lighter shade as I find with any dark lipstick it comes off more easily.
'Uncovered'

With the lighter shade I feel like I have to put more on than the darker shade to begin with because the formula is a little less pigmented, so I find myself applying it a few times before I am satisfied to let my cheap £1.50 lips see daylight. This shade is a nice neutral tone that I would wear everyday- a nude lip is what I usually resort to so I am grateful Primark has produced this as I have been searching for a new shade to try out. I feel this looks quite nice on and goes well with a natural makeup look.
'In the buff'

The darkest shade I picked up named in the buff- surely is a nude to die for. I usually prefer to wear lighter colours as I am prone to smudging my lipstick quite regularly however I am loving this shade. I find this shade does become quite dry once worn for a while however you can easily re-apply over the top without it looking like you have got plastic lips -which is never a good thing.I had a few bites to eat with this lipstick on and it did stay on pretty well in most parts.
Overall I think Primark has done a pretty good job of making a super affordable version of Kims' bank breaking makeup range. To be perfectly honest I can not sit here and fault a lipstick for £1.50 because it looks presentable and does not have a major affect on my bank- so thank lord for Primark.
Primark do have another lipstick on offer and a whole range of their nude collection that I might possibly try- I just wanted to buy two products at first before trying out everything. Primarks' dupes of Kim K's collection are not perfect but for £1.50 I surely am not complaining and I will be using them daily.
Let me know if you have purchased or thinking of purchasing the Nude range from Primark, I want to know what YOU think.
looks + love always, Layla
